Running is my passion. I am a trail runner, dabbling in ultra running. I am training for a 50 miler next year. I am the mother of two awesome adults and the grandmother of 2 beautiful girls.
My name is Tricia. I came not from a sports or athletic background but from a printing and graphics background. I was living a very unhealthy, sedentary life. The death of my father in 2009, prompted me to take a long, hard look at myself, to reevaluate my life. I was very unhappy, stressed out and 250 lbs. It was then that I knew I had to make some major changes. During this time, I moved to L.A. County, I lost weight, began working out, eating healthier and then I discovered running. For the first time in my life, I was an athlete. It was during this process I was, for lack of a better word, organically drawn to massage. I came to understand I had the gift of healing. With my own hands I could help people on many different levels. I made the decision to enroll in massage school and while attending I realized I wanted to focus on the Health & Wellness side of massage, spa life was not for me. The more I fell in love with the sport of running, the more I knew I wanted to do Sports/Therapeutic Massage. I continue to take courses, specifically sports/movement related, to expand my knowledge and add to my tool box. However ultimately, I am above all a massage therapist. I rely on my sense of touch.
